Our Story
Family Roots Reimagined

I spent almost 21 years in the active duty Air Force working in the IT industry. While I excelled at this job, it always felt like something was missing. I retired in 2016 shortly after our youngest daughter was born. I made myself a promise that I would always make our children homemade cakes like my mother did for me. Each year they picked a special theme and I spent countless hours researching on the internet how to make it a reality. We moved to Idaho in 2020 and I discovered a non-profit called Cake4Kids. This allowed me to make more cakes and harness additional creativity on a larger scale. Soon I realized that there was not only a talent but a genuine happiness that happened every time I completed an order. Sweetie Pie Treats soon became a reality, named after a nickname given to me by my grandparents. Over the last year, our children decided we need to learn sourdough (because who doesn't like fresh bread....am I right?) In addition to traditional cakes, cupcakes, and cookies we now offer sourdough brownies, sourdough cookies, and sourdough bagels that are always a crowd pleaser!
I believe in the value of homemade, handcrafted quality baked goods. Not only do they warm the home, but they will definitely warm your heart. Our favorite time of day is when the first batch comes out of the oven early in the morning, and the fresh smell fills the entire street.
My recipes taste amazing and are adapted from secret family recipes passed on through generations. We like to keep it simple and emphasize flavor over flash. Your taste buds will be happy and we know you will be, too.
